More About Ed Meenan

While Ed's love of music produced the spark for his career in audio/video his empathy for the technologically frustrated and passion for aesthetic integration has fueled him for more than thirty years.

Ed cut his teeth in retail sales in Cherry Hill, New Jersey where he advanced his understanding of technology by day and applied his knowledge as soundman and recording technician for a number of bands in NYC and Philly at night.

He moved to New York City in 1985 and landed a job in sales at Harvey, the country's preeminent stereo store. He was promoted to store manager where, under his leadership, the company experienced its best four quarters in its 81-year history – a record that remains unbroken to this day.

In 1989 Ed left Harvey and founded Terpsichore, providing A|V design, installation and support services to some of the most creative and influential individuals in the world. His knowledge earned him guru-like status.

Success afforded Ed the means to satisfy his passion for faraway places. Among many adventures was hiking the Inca trail in the Andes with his good friend Kevin Rodgers of Santa Fe. The two began hiking the threshold trails in the Grand Canyon in the mid 90s. During these annual trips Ed fell in love with Santa Fe and bought an 85 year-old adobe home. He began a renovation in 1999, dividing his time between New York and New Mexico.

Today Ed measures success by the thank you letters he receives and the knowledge that his customers know how and therefore use the systems he designs. His favorite piece of music is Beethoven 9th, followed by Larks Tongues in Aspic by King Crimson. When not working, you'll find Ed writing, taking photographs or biking. He lives in Santa Fe with a cat named Dog and a fish named Doug.
