In the years since I was first introduced to this rancher and his wife they have become dear friends. It is always a pleasure to stop by this magnificent house and be greeted with their warm smiles.
The acoustic considerations for outdoor speakers can be tricky. I see a lot of installs where the speakers are stuck up in the rafters of a porch pointing away from the house. As with any other space, the idea is to fill it with sound.
Even though it takes more work, having the speakers lower and facing towards the house makes the sound more intimate and eliminates the need to raise the volume because we are not trying to play to the entire Rio Grande valley.
