Each system Ed Meenan creates is as individual as the client for whom it is created. The process he uses is as proprietary as it is personal.

Getting to Know You: Discovery
Whether the request is for a single component or an integrated whole-house system, meeting the customer and/or their agents (architects, interior designers, property managers) in the space is crucial to a good outcome.

During the meeting Ed uses well-honed listening skills to ascertain what the client has in mind in terms of system type and aesthetics. His questions, developed over a twenty-year period, are designed to uncover "wants" the client may not even be aware they had. This level of understanding the individual(s) who will use the system results in true customized solutions.

Ed assesses the space for existing components, wire and cable, acoustics and construction details. He may also document the space with a digital camera.

Knowledge Applied: Design
During the initial meeting Ed will discuss the proper position and placement of the speakers, TV, and other electronics relative to the room’s acoustics, aesthetics and practical ergonomics. By the time the initial client meeting is over, Ed is already formulating the system design.

Before final decisions are made, Ed consults with the designer to assure that the A/V system under consideration is consistent with their design concept.

Once this is done Ed will give you an idea of the cost of the components as well as an estimate for the labor involved. He then confirms the availability of the components for the anticipated install date.
